2023 Summer Hockey Season
Summer hockey is the ideal time to #HaveAGo at hockey as the focus is on having fun while keeping active. The games are played on a half-field with 7 players per team, so it’s a great environment for those who are beginning their hockey experience, or for those who are returning to the game after some time away.
Golden Plains Hockey Club will be entering teams in the Geelong Hockey Association competition that is run on week nights at Stead Park, Corio. The 2023/2024 summer hockey season, will begin on Tuesday October 17, 2023. The Under 8 competition will finish before Christmas, while the other competitions will have a December/ January break and resume for 4 matches in February.
Competetions are available on
- Tuesday – Under 12, Under 14, Under 17
- Wednesday – Senior Mixed (minimum age 14)
- Thursday – Under 8, Under 10
- Thursday – Masters Mixed (age 35 or over)
- Friday – Friday Family teams (minimum age 10)
